Startup Clari is being valued at $2.6 billion after announcing a new investment round of $225 million. The California-based company focuses on helping software companies improve sales operations and efficiency. Clari’s valuation is now four times higher than where it was just two years ago.
Blackstone (BX) led this funding round with participation from Silver Lake, two of the biggest names in private equity. Clari’s chief product is a cloud platform that collects data concerning sales operations and interactions with customers. Artificial intelligence is then used to look for areas in need of improvement as a means of boosting revenue.
South Korea’s Green Labs Eyes Global Expansion Amid New Funding for Agtech Firm
South Korea sustainable agricultural technology startup Green Labs is announcing $140 million in Series C funding, bringing its total raised to $170 million. Founded in 2017, Green Labs aims to address global food shortages by digitizing the entire process from the growth of crops all the way through to market delivery. One of its apps, “Farm Morning,” uses artificial intelligence to give farmers a deeper understanding of a crop’s lifecycle.
This “smart farming” involving the use of AI, robotics, and associated software is a big part of the Seoul-based firm’s business. Ultimately, executives say they will be able to speed up global expansion with this new funding. Green Labs also plans to hire more employees and make a number of acquisitions as well.
Autograph Closes On $170 Million Funding Round, Co-Founder Tom Brady Mentions Web3
NFT platform Autograph has closed on a $170 million funding round. Co-founded by NFL legend Tom Brady, the company focuses on making non-fungible tokens and cryptocurrencies more mainstream. Autograph indicates the funding will be used to expand its NFT technology and pursue partnerships aimed at new growth.
After launching in August of last year, Autograph has secured partnerships with a number of athletes. Brady himself has released several digital collections representing things like cleats, jerseys, and key moments from his career. On Twitter, he mentioned that Autograph has added new members to its Web3 team, which is a new web-browsing concept incorporating blockchain technology.
