Name: Megan Elrod
Lives in: Boston, MA
Works as: A CRNA (Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist)
“I decided I wanted to be a CRNA when I was 18 years old. It took four years of undergraduate, four years as a nurse in the ICU, then a little over two years in a Masters of Anesthesia program. I graduated at the age of 28…10 years later! The emotional and financial sacrifices I made have been completely worth it. I am so proud to call myself a CRNA. Who wouldn’t love having the power to put someone to sleep whenever they wanted, and then wake them back up?!”
Name: Anne Latham
Lives in: New York, NY
Works as: Manager of Global Business Planning at Estée Lauder
“I’ve done a lot in just five short years, and am incredibly proud of all I’ve accomplished. I graduated from Loyola University Maryland with a BBA and a concentration in Finance. Starting out at Morgan Stanley, I transitioned to Senior Analyst at Tiffany and Co., and am now working as the Manager of Global Business Planning for Clinique at Estée Lauder. It’s all about navigating your career strategically, giving back, and rewarding hard work with things you like to do. For me, that’s a love of travel.”
Name: Allison Latham (Anne’s her sister—in case you couldn’t tell…)

Works as: Business Analyst at Barclays
“I got my start in business development through a fellowship with an NBA player and his wife. They’re now opening the restaurant that I wrote the initial business plan for! I also served as a volunteer within the White House Office of Presidential Correspondence for four years. Now I’m working at Barclays where I’m responsible for the U.S. delivery of a new trade capture and risk management system. I balance my career goals with life goals to keep me motivated. Reading and boxing are my two favorite pastimes.”
